Celsa Armeringsstål AS – Reinforcing Steel

Convert 750,000 tons of scrap iron from Norway and Northern Europe into 500,000 tons of reinforcing steel and 200,000 tons of billets. Steel works and combined rolling mill for bar and wire. 320 employees.
•           Celsa Armeringsstål AS produces most of the reinforcing steel that is used in the Nordic countries.                                
•           The largest supply of steel ever delivered in Norway also came from Mo i Rana. 94,000 tons of reinforcing steel for the Troll oil platform in the North Sea. This is equivalent to 13 Eiffel towers worth of steel.
 
Ruukki Profiler AS - Mouldings (Under reconstruction 2010)
Convert billetts, chiefly from foreign steel works into 170. 000 tons of moulding for ship building and construction. Hot-rolling mill.
•           Ruuki Profiler AS supplies most ship mouldings in Europe, which consist of special steel that is tailor-made for ship-building customers worldwide.
 
Vale Manganese Norway AS
Convert ore from self-owned mines in two smelting furnaces and sinter works. 120,000 tons manganese alloys and CO-gas as a by-product. 79 employees.
•           Vale Manganese Norway AS was established as a new processing company in Mo Industrial Park in 2003. The manganese ore is transported from the Equator to the Arctic Circle. The finished products are shipped to customers in Europe and North America.
 
Fesil AS, Rana Metall
Convert quartz, iron pellets and carbon materials into 105,000 tons of ferrosilicon, which is refined and granulated for use in the steel industry. 85 employees.
•           Fesil AS, Rana Metall, smelts and refines ferrosilicon of high purity, which is used in special steels. Many modern automobile tires contain thin steel wires featuring FeSi from Rana.
 
 
 
Molab AS
A multi-field test and analysis laboratory with activities in the areas of material technology, inorganic analytical chemistry and environmental chemistry. 71 employees.
 
NRK (TV/Radio) License Division
Strive to secure and expand NRK’s revenue base. 62 full-time positions in the park.
 
Itella Information AS
IT and Consultancy firm offering a variety of services based on advanced facility for electronic document handling. 31 employees.
 
The Miras Engineering Group (Miras AS)
Engineering group consisting of 5 companies in the park and 1 external enterprises. 300 employees at Miras.
•             Multimaskin AS is the driving force at The Miras Group, where the enterprises collaborate on large-scale offshore products as well as multi-field maintenance in the industrial sector.
 
Mo Industrial Transport (Mo Industritransport AS)
Provide transport services with specialized vehicles chiefly for the processing industry. Operate Fundias scrap iron terminal. 109 employees.
 
The Helgeland Knowledge Park (Kunnskapsparken Helgeland AS)     
Innovation-based enterprise whose goal is to facilitate new enterprise establishments and the development of innovative business ideas.
 
MOMEK Group AS
Engineering group consisting of 12 companies in the park and 1 external enterprises. 200 employees at Momek Group.
The workshop at Momek Group has expanded its work force from 5 to 200 employees over a 10-year period.
They manage a workshop and welding facility in the park.
 

Mo Industrial Park AS

Produces oxygen, nitrogen, compressed air and electric power. Distributes water, sewage services, electrical power and gases. Develop buildings and construction projects. Also provide services such as security, port, wideband network, switchboard, postal services and information. 59 employees.
 
Rana Industrial Terminal AS
Manage transported goods totalling approx. 2 million tons on an annual basis and 900 port calls annually. In charge of loading, discharge, management and short-term storage of raw materials and finished goods. 37 employees.
 
Mo Fjernvarme AS
Operate one of the country’s largest remote heating plants. Approximately 60 GWh of recycled waste energy from the industrial sector is distributed to customers in the park and in the city of Mo i Rana. 3 employees.
 
Did you know that…
•           Fish grow much faster in the park than they do in nature. Mo Industrial Park is home to fish farming facilities with over 5 million salmon spawn / smolt.
•           Mo Industrial Park AS operates Norway’s second largest water supplies with a capacity of 93 mill tons annually. Only Oslo has a larger water works.
•           The industrial park area with its 110 enterprises covers nearly half of Mo i Rana’s city centre.
•           The rolling mill in the park is Norway’s largest building with a roof area totalling 90,000 square meters.
