New grid tariff costly for Celsa

Statnett introduced its new grid tariff pricing model at the start of the year.

For Celsa Armeringsstål AS, this adds NOK 16 million to its annual costs.

– There is broad agreement on Statnett’s new grid charge discount model applicable from the start of the year, says Eivind B. Hansen of Celsa Armeringsstål AS.

– The problem for Celsa is that the new model results in inappropriately high charges for a few of the power refining industrial companies. Statnett’s new model is actually particularly unfortunate for Celsa Armeringsstål, he says.
