Sunday, 19 April heralded the 60th anniversary of the first steel tapping at This happened when one of the two electric steel furnaces had been commissioned and tapped. The ironworks switched to an operating phase on 1 April, and various events took place consecutively throughout the spring at the various plants as they were commissioned.
