Renting equipment just got easier and more cost-efficient for companies in Mo Industripark. The rental company Renta has opened its own branch inside the industrial park, in premises leased from Momek Group.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have had many customers here for years, but we have not been close enough. Now we want to invest more locally and be present where the needs arise,\u201d says H\u00e5kon Dehlin, Branch Manager at Renta.<\/p>\n
Renta is Norway\u2019s largest provider of machinery and lift rentals, with branches across the country from south to north. The Mo i Rana branch currently has 19 employees, ranging from mechanics and equipment technicians to project managers and scaffolding fitters. The new on-site location in Mo Industripark will save customers both time and transport costs.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the past, we had to bring equipment up here by semi-trailer every time someone needed a lift or a machine. Transport alone could easily cost several thousand kroner each way. Now much of the equipment is already here and ready to use,\u201d says Dehlin.<\/p>\n
Shared economy in practice<\/strong><\/p>\n Renta focuses on availability and simple solutions. With digital tools, customers can quickly find and order what they need. Each company receives its own login, discount agreement and full overview of the equipment available from Renta.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you log in as a customer, you see your prices and your selection. Renting a lift should be as easy as booking a flight,\u201d Dehlin explains.<\/p>\n He draws a clear connection to the circular practices already found in the industrial park.<\/p>\n \u201cWe strongly believe in the sharing economy. Why own when you can rent? In Mo Industripark, circularity and collaboration are already part of the culture, and we want to contribute to that,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n Faster support and local cooperation<\/strong><\/p>\n To ensure fast response times and local expertise, Renta has partnered with Momek Group. Tor H\u00e5kon R\u00f8dsj\u00f8, who has long experience with lift rentals for industrial environments, is now hired into Renta in a 50 percent position to support daily operations in the park.<\/p>\n \u201cCustomers no longer have to wait for a semi to arrive from town. They can call me directly, and we will sort things out quickly. Things move fast here, and having equipment located right nearby is a major advantage,\u201d says R\u00f8dsj\u00f8.<\/p>\n So far, Renta has placed scissor lifts, boom lifts and smaller equipment such as core drilling tools, chisels and combination hammers in the park.
